Lois Ann P. Reilly, Retired Language Arts Resource Teacher at the Empire School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in language arts education.
Supported by 45 years of experience in language arts and education, Ms. Reilly is a retired language arts resource teacher who most recently served the Empire School in Cleveland, Ohio, from 2005 until her retirement in 2007. Prior to this appointment, she served in the same capacity for the Harvey Rice School from 1997 to 2005, as well as a teacher at the St. Joseph-Collinwood School and Solomon Schechter Day School. A former educational and reading consultant for several organizations, Ms. Reilly began her career with the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District as a reading specialist and language arts resource teacher in 1962.
Backed by a Bachelor of Science in education from Baldwin-Wallace College from 1972 and Master of Education from Kent State University from 1970, Ms. Reilly is a certified reading specialist and teacher in the State of Ohio. Throughout her career, she has presented at seminars and contributed to the Women’s Christian Fellowship League at the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, as president and vice president.
To remain abreast of developments in her areas of expertise, Ms. Reilly has maintained affiliation with the American Association of University Women, for whom she served as former vice president from 1976 to 1978 and again from 1988 to 1990. She had also devoted time to serving as secretary from 1980 to 1981 and newsletter editor from 1981 to 1982. Ms. Reilly presently holds membership with the College Club of Cleveland, Irish American Club East, Forest Hills Presbyterian Church and St. Paschal Baylon Church.
