Suzanne Nader, Retired Elementary School Educator at Wayne-Westland Community Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
As early on as her grade school experience, Ms. Nader knew she wanted to be an educator. Driven by passion and a love of learning, she first studied at Siena Heights University and the Mercy College of Detroit/University of Detroit. She later received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from the institution. Ms. Nader holds teaching certificates in all subjects from K-8, as well as 9th grade English and French. She began teaching as a substitute English teacher at the Senior High Alternative Program for Wayne-Westland before becoming an English teacher of the Junior High Alternative Program. Prior to joining the faculty at Wayne-Westland Schools, she taught in the Willow Run School District and the Plymouth-Canton School District. She retired in 2010 after teaching the third grade for more than a decade.
Working as an educator was a dream come true for Ms. Nader. Knowing she had a hand in helping so many students improve and achieve success has been the best part of her career. Ms. Nader also contributed to the field by establishing an arts and crafts program during her time with the Junior High Alternative Students and co-working on a student anthology of honorary literature in prose and poetry with the Junior and Senior High School Alternative Students. Throughout her career, she maintained professional affiliation with the Colored Pencil Society of America, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Women in Leadership Network.
