For over 35 years, Ms. Henry has been educating students in English. Currently, she works as an English teacher at Rigby High School, as well as serving as the Department Chair. Her career extends to a Dual Enrollment Adjunct Professor for English Rhetoric and Composition at Idaho State University. Since 2015, she has worked as a Higher Education Standards Reviewer for the Professional Standards Commission. Earlier in her career, she served as the Professional Standards Commissioner for the Idaho State Department of Education from 2009 to 2015 and Chair from 2013 to 2015.
In her own academic pursuits, Ms. Henry received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1985 and later earned a Master of Arts from Western Governors University in 2004. In 2019, she was the recipient of the Idaho State Board of Education’s Master Educator Premium Award. Ms. Henry received the University of Idaho’s Teacher Preparation Award in 2003 and was honored by the Rigby Chamber of Commerce as Teacher of the Year. Ms. Henry currently serves as a member of the Idaho Education Association, the Jefferson County Education Association and the National Education Association. Additionally, Ms. Henry has been honored by Marquis Who’s Who as an Industry Expert and has been included in several Marquis Who’s Who publications, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
