Barbara O’Guinn Condron, Philosopher, Educator, Academic Administrator and Writer at School of Metaphysics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in metaphysics.
Dr. Condron’s calling came after having a nightmare at the age of six, which stayed with her for years until a metaphysics teacher offered her a possible interpretation based upon a consciousness language. At 22, Dr. Condron began studying her own dreams and the dreams of others. In 1973, she earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri. From there, she began to study metaphysics receiving a Doctorate in Divinity and a Doctorate in Metaphysics from the College of Metaphysics in 1979. After completion of her degree, Dr. Condron became a certified Psi Counselor.
Dr. Condron’s most proud of creating with multigenerational and diverse groups of people in the United States and around the world to attain common goals while elevating consciousness for the common good. She began her career as a field representative for the Gulf States in 1978, remaining until 1980. In 1980, she became the president of SOM Publishing until 1984, and then she returned in 1989 and stayed until 1998 as the chief executive officer. During the years away from SOM Publishing, she became a director of the Interfaith Church of Metaphysics and stayed in that position for ten years. She also started working for the School of Metaphysics in 1989, remaining until 2018, holding the positions of professor, director of international education and member of the council of elders. Along with her other positions, Dr. Condron was also editor-in-chief of Thresholds Journal from 1990 to 2001 and editor of Holistic Health and Healing Guide from 1992 to 2000.
As a testament to her success, Dr. Condron was inducted into various esteemed organizations including but not limited to the International Association for the Study of Dreams, Natural Therapies Association, Interfaith Ministries and the American Business Women’s Association. She has also been listed in numerous editions of Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in America and the 29th edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.
