Dr. Frances was inspired to go into education from her mother who taught at UCLA. She also was inspired by her mother’s kindness and generosity, she was very supportive in many different causes especially in the education of women and girls. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, she received a Bachelor of Arts with magna cum laude honors in 1954. Five years later, she secured a Master of Arts from Stanford University. Dr. Frances further earned a Master of Arts from Yale University in 1965, before concluding his academic efforts at Duke University with a Doctor of Philosophy in 1972.
At the start of her career, Dr. Frances worked as a chief economist of the American Council on Education from 1973 to 1981. In 1997, she joined Claremont Graduate University as an adjunct professor, while simultaneously contributing as a professor of Seton Hall University from 1999 to 2008. Since her departure from Claremont Graduate University in 2011, she Dr. Frances has excelled as a consultant of Kaludis Consulting in Washington D.C. Kaludis Consulting provides strategic advice, planning support, and management solutions to U.S. and international higher education — independent colleges and universities, public research and comprehensive universities, community and technical colleges, university systems, academic health centers, and higher education and professional associations. In addition to her primary endeavors, she held executive positions with the Carol Frances Associates, Southwestern University, the University of Idaho, and the American Council Education.
Dr. Frances has had many highlights, one that she is focused on currently is a lecture series at the Hemet Public Library. She and a colleague also have a lecture series called the “First Friday Club,” where she discusses world travel and its’ insights and her colleague covers the history. They have been doing these lectures for about six years. An exceptional Marquis listee, Dr. Frances was featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
