Stephen J. Fritts, Retired Teacher for the Warren Hills Regional Board of Education, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health and physical education.
With more than 33 years of professional experience, Mr. Fritts is retired, having been a health and physical education teacher with the Warren Hills Regional Board of Education. He was inspired to pursue a career in the field from an early age, having been an athlete all of his life. He first pursued an education at Kent State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education in 1973. He continued his studies at East Stroudsburg University, earning a Master of Health Education in 1988. Mr. Fitts also attended East Stroudsburg University for Post Graduate studies in Education. Mr. Fritts has been certified in Health and Physical Education in the States of Ohio and New Jersey.
Mr. Fritts has coached football for years. First at Belivedere High School for three years and then at Bangor High School and at Warren Hills High School. Throughout his career, Mr. Fritts has been recognized for his contributions, he is the recipient of the Special Achievement Award from the Star Gazette, he was given the Warren Hills Special Recognition Award and was named Middle School Teacher of the Year by Warren Hills Middle School. He was also inducted into the Warren Hills Athletics Hall of Fame. Mr. Fritts attributes his success to his tenacity in never giving up on his goals and dreams. Mr. Fritts continues his passion for sport through watching and supporting his grandchildren together with his wife Shelley.
