Eileen Volpe, Former Substitute Teacher for Greeley District 6, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in special education.
With 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Volpe was a substitute teacher for grades K-12 at Greeley Distract 6 from 2005 to 2007, having retired from full-time teaching in 2003. Prior to her retirement, she was a special education teacher with Valencia High School from 1998 to 2003 and Saugus High School from 1979 to 1998. From 1976 to 1979, she was a substitute teacher with Greeley District 6 and from 1968 to 1969 she was a fine arts teacher with Nipmuc Regional Junior Senior High School. Earlier in her career, she was a fifth grade teacher with Memorial Elementary School from 1967 to 1968.
Ms. Volpe first pursued an education with the University of Northern Colorado, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1964. She continued her studies with the school, earning a Master of Arts in 1978. She has been certified as a fine arts teacher, a leaning handicapped specialist, and resource specialist, and she holds an Institute of Children’s Literature Certificate and an ELD certificate for high school. Her book, Independent Thoughts From California & Colorado, will soon be available on Barnes and Noble, Amazon and as an ebook.
