She also holds New Jersey teaching certification credentials in elementary and special education.
Experiencing many career highlights, Ms. Genader’s greatest career achievement that she is most proud of is meeting the daily challenges that came and handling them successfully. She was named West Milford Top Teacher of the Year from 1990 to 1991 and Passaic County Teacher of the Year in 1990-91. In 2014, she was honored in a Proclamation by the Passaic County Board of Freeholder for “significant contributions she has made and the time, effort and energy which she has unselfishly devoted to the citizenry of the County of Passaic.” The Township of West Milford honored her in 2013 with “A Special Recognition Award in grateful appreciation for 60+ years of reporting the news and events of West Milford. Thank you for sharing your abundant knowledge of our community’s history with all the people of our township.” In 2018, Ms. Genader was inducted into the Butler High School Hall of Honor. She is further the recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and was listed in the fourth edition of Who’s Who in Religion and 1992-93 and 1986-87 editions of Who’s Who in U.S. Writers and Poets.
The kind of legacy that Ms. Genader aspires to leave behind is as someone who did the best she could in helping all students, including those with various abilities, to achieve and have successful lives; as a journalist who always reported community news fairly and giving everyone an opportunity to be heard and for providing music that enhanced church services.
