Emanuel Manche, PhD, Professor at York College of the City College of New York, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Academia.
With nearly 45 years of professional experience, Dr. Manche excelled as a professor of chemistry at York College of the City College of New York from 1981 to 1999. Prior to obtaining this role, he worked as an associate professor with the school from 1973 to 1980, having been active as an assistant professor since 1968. Earlier in his career, Dr. Manche served as an advanced research engineer with the General Telephone and Electronics Research Laboratories from 1965 to 1968 and a research chemist with American Chicle Company from 1956 to 1957.
Dr. Manche began his career with the United States Army, where he completed service between 1952 ahd 1954 and attained the rank of sergeant. He then pursued an education with the City University of New York, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1956. He continued his studies with the aforementioned school, graduating a Master of Arts in chemistry in 1959. He concluded his academic efforts at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry in 1965. Dr. Manche is a member of the American Chemical Society, Phi Lambda Upsilon and Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society.
