Arlene Phillips, Retired Teacher at Blevins Junior High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Home Economics.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Phillips has been retired since 1990, having been a home economics teacher with Blevins Junior High School since 1968. Prior to obtaining this role, she was a home economics teacher with Lincoln Junior High School from 1967 to 1968 and a teacher with the state of Colorado in 1965. Earlier in her career, she was an adult education in Oberlin, KS from 1964 to 1965 and a home economics teacher with Alexander High School from 1959 to 1961.

Ms. Phillips first pursued an education with McPherson College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1959. She continued her studies with Colorado State University, completing postgraduate coursework from 1966 to 1967. She is a member of the National Education Association, and Teachers National. For her contributions to the field, she has been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including having been named Teacher of the Year for the Fort Collins, CO, School District.
