A prolific educator, author and academic administrator, Dr. Henager-Greene has found much success at Whitworth University as the assistant dean since 2019 and an assistant professor of economics since 2013. Prior to embarking upon her professional path, she pursued an education at Eastern Washington University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics and international relations in 1987. Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in 2008. Dr. Henager-Greene concluded her academic efforts at the University of Georgia in 2014, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in consumer economics and family financial planning, an accomplishment she cites as the highlight of her career.

Additionally active as a teacher of a one-credit “Money Skills for Life after College” course, Dr. Henager-Greene has excelled as the founder of the peer financial group Balance Your Bucks. Formerly working as a volunteer with a nonprofit organization from 1995 to 2010, she has authored many articles published in such journals as Financial Services Review, the Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal and the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning. Recognized as the Most Influential Professor at Whitworth University in 2018 and 2019, she has been presented with myriad accolades as a testament to her exceptional efforts in education, including the Journal Article Award from the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning in 2016, the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the University of Georgia in 2012, the Core Value Award for Excellence from Crown Financial Ministries in 2005, the Buck Hunter Award and the Performance Incentive Program Award from Lockheed Martin between 1992 and 1994 and the Outstanding Young Women of America Award in 1989, among others. The recipient of many scholarships, Ms. Henager-Greene remains affiliated with such organizations as the American Council on Consumer Interest, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Delta Epsilon.
