Richard Fredricks, Voice and Masterclass Teacher, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Music.

With nearly 65 years of professional experience, Mr. Fredricks is a teacher of voice and masterclasses. In addition to his primary role, he has previously served as a principal baritone with the New York City Opera, the San Francisco Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera. He was a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Boston Symphony, the Boston Pops, the New York Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Mr. Fredricks has held leading roles in a number of productions, including “Rigoletto,” “La Forza del Destino,” “Thais,” “La Gioconda,” “Don Giovanni,” “Trovatore,” “Don Carlo,” “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” “Il Puritani,” “Lucia,” “Un Ballo in Maschera,” and “Tosca.” He has appeared with the Santiago Opera, the Israel Philharmonic, the Hamburg Staatsoper, the Frankfurt Staatsoper, La Fenice, and Venice. He has also starred in “Belshazzar’s Feast,” “Carmina Burana,” and “Cantata Misericorium.” He has guest-starred on several television shows, including “The Odd Couple,” “Quincy,” “Tonight Show,” “Merv Griffin Show,” “Mike Douglas Show,” and “Dinah Shore Show.”

Mr. Fredricks began his career with the United States Marine Corps, serving in 1950. He then joined the United States Navy, graduating from Sonar School in 1951 and serving until 1954. He then pursued an education with El Camino Junior College, completing pre-engineering coursework from 1954 to 1956. He subsequently completed voice coursework with the University of Denver from 1956 to 1957.

Throughout his career, Mr. Fredricks has been recognized for his contributions. He has received awards and accolades for his achievements. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Entertainment.
