Eugene E. Cioffi III, Retired School System Administrator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Education for dedication, achievements, and leadership in elementary/middle school education and academic administration.
Through his many years of experience in education, Mr. Cioffi perfected his ability to balance the needs and desires of his students, teachers and board of education, as well as the community at large. His hard work towards this delicate balance resulted in not only a multitude of professional awards but additionally the founding of a harmonious stability among everyone with whom he worked. With every experience up until his retirement in 2000, he made it his goal to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone he encountered. Mr. Cioffi attributes his extensive resume to be the reason behind much of his success.
Mr. Cioffi’s career began in the classroom. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in education from Bloomsburg University in 1970 and a Master of Education from the College of New Jersey in 1973. For many years, he taught various subjects, ranging from literature to pre-algebra. In 1978, Mr. Cioffi returned to school to earn a post-master’s specialization in administration and supervision. With this addition to his credentials, he began exploring administrative roles in the academic institutions for which he had developed a fondness. He was active as the district assistant principal for the Pohatcong Township School District from 1989 to 1994, among several other similar positions. In 1994, Mr. Cioffi became the chief school administrator and the principal of the Frelinghuysen Township Board of Education in New Jersey, where he remained until his retirement in 2000. Though he is retired, he continues to exercise his skills through tutoring and mentoring. As a testament to his success, Mr. Cioffi is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Education, as well as the 25th edition of Who’s Who in the East and the 12th edition of Who’s Who in the World. In 2020, Mr. Cioffi honorably received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
