Pastor David Earl Darst, Instructor at Purpose Institute, Lancaster Campus, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Religion.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Pastor Darst has been an instructor with Purpose Institute, Lancaster Campus since 2016. Prior to obtaining his current position, he was an instructor at Purpose Institute Zanesville Campus in 2015. He also was an adjunct instructor at Ohio State University at Newark from 2001 to 2008, and an accounting professor at Central Ohio Technical College from 1994 to 2012. From 1992 to 1994, he was an accounting instructor with Zane State College, and he was a graduate assistant at Bowling Green State University from 1989 to 1991. Earlier in his career, he was an accounting instructor with Detroit Lakes Technical College in 1989 and with Wooster Business College from 1978 to 1979.
Pastor Darst first pursued an education with Apostolic Bible Institute, where he obtained a Bachelor of Theology in 1969. He then joined Franklin University, completing a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1975. He continued his studies with Bowling Green State University, earning a Master of Education in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration in 1991. He later returned to Apostolic Bible Institute, receiving a second Bachelor of Theology in 2007. He has been ordained as a minister by the United Pentecostal Church and was certified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
