Fan Li, pianist, music educator and owner of Li Fan Piano Studios, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements and leadership in musical instruction.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Li attended the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 1983. He subsequently earned a Master of Music at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and concluded his academic efforts in 1992 with an artist diploma from the Longy School of Music at Bard College. From 1988 to 1990, he served as piano faculty at his alma mater, the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and subsequently worked at the Manchester Community Music School from 1993 to 1996. In addition, Mr. Li contributed as a piano instructor at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Boston from 1993 to 1998. He held a position as piano faculty at the Brookline Music School from 1996 to 2007 and, since 2010, he has been the owner of Li Fan Piano Studios.
As a board member of NEPTA in Boston from 1998 to 2001, Mr. Li has found additional success through his creative works. A prolific performer, he has completed solo recitals at numerous theaters and institutions, including the Theater Beijing, the New England Conservatory and Carnegie Hall. He has also performed as a soloist with orchestras at the Lincoln Center, Harvard University, the New England Conservatory and the Boston Symphony Hall. Mr. Li is the author of music in magazines and newspapers, and performed on the CD “Chinese Piano Music” in 2003. As a further testament to his success, stature and experience, he has been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
