Alban W. Urbanas, PhD, professor at Wesley College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in French and philosophy.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Urbanas has been a professor of French and philosophy at Wesley College since 1998, having been an associate professor since 1990. Prior to obtaining these roles, he was an assistant professor at Franklin College from 1986 to 1989 and a coordinator of the French and English programs at CACI Language Center from 1983 to 1985, having held the same position with Marubeni-France from 1978 to 1987. Earlier in his career, Dr. Urbanas was an instructor of English as a second language at the Paris-American Academy from 1977 to 1978.
Dr. Urbanas first pursued an education with the University of Paris-Sorbonne, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1976. He continued his studies with the school, completing a PhD in 1982. He later joined George Mason University, earning a Master of Business Administration in 1994. Dr. Urbanas is a member of the American Philosophical Association, the American Management Association, the International Association of Management and the Baltimore Council on Foreign Relations.
