Thomas Dole, Former Fine Arts Coordinator at Hazelwood School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Music.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Dole excelled as the fine arts coordinator at Hazelwood School District from 1987 to 1999. Prior to obtaining this position, he was a teacher of high school instrumental music with the district from 1974 to 1987, having been an elementary instrumental music teacher since 1972. Earlier in his career, he was a musician with the United States Air Force Band from 1968 to 1972. In addition to his primary roles, he has served as a choir director for Bethalto Presbyterian Church and as a composer and musician with various orchestras, civic organizations, theaters, and churches.
Mr. Dole first pursued an education with Rowan University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He continued his studies with the aforementioned institution, earning a Master of Arts in 1968. He then joined the Julliard School, completing postgraduate coursework from 1969 to 1971. A certified teacher in the states of Illinois, Missouri, and New Jersey, he is a member of the National Education Association and the Music Educators National Conference.
