Janice Van Wagner, Teacher with Denver Public Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
With more than 50 years of professional experience, Ms. Van Wagner has been a teacher with Denver Public Schools since 1991. Prior to obtaining her current role, she was a trust accountant representative with the United Bank of Denver from 1981 to 1991 and an office manager with Marvin S. Liggett, Cardiologist, from 1979 to 1981. Earlier in her career, she held a number of positions with United Buckingham from 1968 to 1979. She is a member of the International Reading Association, the Colorado Association for Childhood Education, and the Golden Key Society.
Ms. Van Wagner pursued an education with the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1991. She continued her studies with Lesley College, earning a Master of Education in 1995. She has been certified as a teacher in the state of Colorado. For her contributions to the field, she has been recognized with numerous awards throughout her career, including the Colorado Scholars Award from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and the Colorado Association for Education of Young Children Tuition Award.
