Timothy Doman, Retired Chair of Technology Education at Sharon City High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technology education.
A leading expert in the field of education, Mr. Doman is the retired chair of technology education at Sharon City High School. In his retirement, he has held a number of municipal positions with Washington, PA, including township roadmaster since 2018, and township supervisor, secretary-treasurer of the Buffalo Township since 2014, also serving as secretary-treasurer of Al’s Water Services since 2014. He is a member-at-large and the temporary acting chair of the planning commission acts.
Mr. Doman first pursued an education with the Community College of Allegheny County, where he completed coursework, also completing coursework with the Ohio Diesel Institute of Technology. He then enrolled at Pennsylvania State University, obtaining an Associate of Science in agricultural technology. He continued his studies with the school, completing graduate coursework. He later joined California University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science in industrial education.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Doman has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a member of the Sharon Teachers Association, the Anti-Park Committee, and the Ordinance Committee. He has also been active with the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the National Education Association, and the National Rifle Association of America.
Mr. Doman was inspired to pursue a career in the field by a desire to help students achieve their career goals. He attributes much of his success to remaining up-to-date and relating to students, as well as to hard work and remaining involved with his students. For his contributions to the field, he has been recognized throughout his career with awards and accolades. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
