Donna Duffy, Language Arts Teacher at Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in English education.
Ms. Duffy started her career as an English teacher at St. Mary’s High School in South Amboy, New Jersey, where she worked from 1989 to 1992. She spent two years as a middle school language arts teacher at the Joyce Kilmer School, and in 1994, accepted a position as a language arts teacher at Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School, where she continues to teach. In addition, Ms. Duffy has worked as a presenter at numerous conferences throughout her career, including the New Jersey Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development’s state conference and the Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education’s in-service writing workshop. She is a member of both the National Council of Teachers of English and the Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education. For her excellence as an education, she was named Teacher of the Year by the governor of New Jersey in 2005 and 2015.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Duffy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English education, cum laude, from Trenton State College in 1988. She continued her academic pursuits at Georgian Court College, graduating with a Master of Arts in education in 1998, and a Master of Arts in instructional technology in 2004. Ms. Duffy also holds multiple professional certifications, including an English education certification in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as an elementary education certification in New Jersey. She also earned a supervisory certification and an instructional technology certification from Georgian Court College in 1999 and 2000, respectively. As a testament to her success, experience, and stature, Ms. Duffy has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in America.
