Jacqueline A. Kane, Higher Education Coach and Consultant at Kane Consulting and Coaching LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education administration.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State College in 1968, Dr. Kane later obtained a Master of Science from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oneonta in 1974 and a PhD in sociology from the University at Albany in 1997. Interested in pursuing a career that would allow for social contribution, she began her career as a caseworker for the New York City Department of Social Services from 1968 to 1970. She then excelled as a counselor with SUNY Oneonta, a coordinator of counseling and academic advisement, a member of adjunct faculty at the University at Albany, and an associate in higher education opportunity with the New York State Department of Education. Presently, Dr. Kane serves as a higher education coach and a consultant with her own company, Kane Consulting and Coaching LLC, which she established in 2009.

Certified in health coaching, management, and higher education administration, Dr. Kane has held professional affiliations with the New York State Association of Non-White Concerns in Personnel & Guidance, the Black Professional Women’s Network, the American Council on Education, the American Sociological Association, and the Association of Black Women in Higher Education. She has held myriad administrative positions in these organizations. Highly accomplished in her field, she has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Marconi Medal as presented by the Technical Careers Institute in 2010. Dr. Kane is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is the author of “A Real Whole Lot: A World War II Soldier’s Love Letters to His Wife” and “Step into your Vision 2.0,” and looking forward, hopes to continue publishing in the years to come. In recognition of her contributions to the field, Dr. Kane has been featured in the seventh edition of Who’s Who in American Education, the first edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as the 15th and 25th editions of Who’s Who of American Women.
