MaryJo P. M. Wiemiller, Program Director and Chair at Marquette University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of physician and assistant studies.
As a credit to her honesty, hard work, and self-reflection, Ms. Wiemiller has built a successful career in her field and is currently quite active in the professional setting. In addition to working as a clinical associate professor at Marquette University, she is the program director and chair of the Department of Physician and Assistant Studies for the physician assistant program at the university. Ms. Wiemiller also serves the institution as the program director for their Aurora Health Care Post Graduate PA Emergency Medicine Program. Furthermore, she finds additional success as an emergency medicine physician assistant at the Aurora Sinai Medical Center.
Prior to these impressive professional roles, Ms. Wiemiller pursued an education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a Bachelor of Science in bacteriology before graduating with a Master of Science and her PA certification from the Finch University of Health Sciences. She is also certified in advanced cardiac life support and by the APACVS in invasive skills. Notably, Ms. Wiemilller volunteers her time to free clinics in the Milwaukee area and is an active member of the Physician Assistant Educational Association, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Emergency Medicine Physicians Assistants, and the Wisconsin Association of Physicians Assistants. Looking forward, she sees herself continuing to grow with the PA program with more national expansions.
