Frederick D. Bedell, EdD, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
With a background that includes dynamic experience at various state agencies and in academia, Dr. Bedell is considered an expert across numerous disciplines in the public sector. Since 1989, he has been an education consultant in Clifton Park, New York. He came into this role after establishing his expertise through former prominent roles as the assistant commissioner of the New York State Department of Corrections, executive director of the New York State Division of Youth, principal of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services, and assistant superintendent, teacher and administrator of the White Plains Public School District. Driven by a love of helping others, Dr. Bedell contributed his efforts outside of his full-time work to the Mental Retardation Institution in Westchester County, New York, as well as the National Council of Disability in Washington, DC, for many years.
Dr. Bedell’s varied experiences throughout his five-decade career have afforded him the opportunity to grow his professional skill set and establish a perspective that many others in the academic field are not accustomed to. In order to share his insights developed over many years, Dr. Bedell wrote a book that has inspired countless professionals across the industry. His own educational background has contributed to the success he has been able to garner over the years. Dr. Bedell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in education and an EdD. As he looks ahead to the future, Dr. Bedell intends to continue working toward continued success in his career as a leader in education.
