Ms. Agranovich prepared for her career as a student in the pre-college division of The Julliard School in New York City in 1973, graduating with a MusB in 1977 and a MusM in 1978. She continued her academic pursuits at the Columbia University Teachers College, completing PhD coursework in music education, music theory and music history from 1980 to 1981. Upon earning a certification in computer science from the Empire Technical School in 1981, Ms. Agranovich started working as a systems analyst at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 1985. She became a senior programmer and analyst at Merrill Lynch in 1987, and achieved success, rising to the rank of assistant vice president in 1995 and vice president in 2001, where she remained until 2008. Following her departure from Merrill Lynch, Ms. Agranovich leveraged her talent as a pianist, accepting a position at Armonioso Music, where she presently continues to work as an international concert pianist, recording artist and music educator.
In 2009, Ms. Agranovich started as the artistic director of the “Classicals at the Circle” music series at the Watchung Arts Center, a position she presently holds. She is a member of the Private Teachers Directory at The Julliard School, serves as the program chair for the New Jersey Music Educators Association, and is a board member of the New Jersey Music Educators Association. In addition, she serves as a judge for international, national, and regional music competitions, and teaches her craft in lectures and master classes. Ms. Agranovich has lent her talent and experience as a pianist to her wealth of award-winning students and has been recognized for her excellence in piano performance and instruction with myriad awards. In 2012, she was named a Steinway Artist, and in 2016, she received two Gold Awards from the Prestige Music Awards and four Silver Medals from the Global Music Awards. As a further testament to her success, experience, and stature, Ms. Agranovich has been included in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
