Earlier in her career, she was a special education teacher for Hampton, NH, from 1978 to 1988.
Dr. Day first pursued an education with the University of Southern Maine, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English. She continued her studies with the school, completing a Master of Education in special education. She then joined the University of New Hampshire, earning a PhD in education curriculum. She is certified as an assessment specialist.
Throughout her career, Dr. Day has been recognized for her contributions. She has received awards and accolades for her achievements. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including Who’s Who in American Politics and Who’s Who in the East.
