James Clinkenbeard, Educational Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of educational consulting and administration.

Mr. Clinkenbeard studied at Murray State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1977, and completed some post-graduate coursework in 1978. He started working as an art teacher at Newport Independent Schools, rising to the rank of chief negotiator, then assistant principal in 1988. He became the director of Title V in 1991, acting principal in 1992, and principal in 1996. After a decade as principal, Mr. Clinkenbeard became the educational services coordinator. In 2010, he started as an educational services coordinator for Northern Kentucky Coordinating Committee, and in 2011, he started working as an educational consultant. He continues to consult to this day, and is a certified teacher and administrator in the state of Kentucky. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975, when he was honorably discharged.

For his excellence as an educator and consultant, Mr. Clinkenbeard has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions. He received the Murray State University Excellence in Art Award in 1978, the Kentucky Art Education Association Project Art Teacher Award in 1981, a Kentucky Superintendent Public Instruction Commendation in 1984, and a Distinguished Commissioner Award for the Doctorate Commissioner of Schools in 2012. He is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Education Association, the Newport Administrators Association, The Newport Teachers Association, the National Art Education Association, and the Kentucky Education Association, among others. As a testament to his experience and stature as an educator, Mr. Clinkenbeard was featured in the fourth edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in America.
