Susan Winebrenner, Author, Consultant, and Professional Development Specialist at Education Consulting Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in professional development and educational consulting.
As a student, Ms. Winebrenner earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1960. Later, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning a Master of Science in 1979. In 1971, she became a teacher at Shorewood School District, where she remained until 1980. Ms. Winebrenner transitioned to a role as a teacher and gifted education specialist for River Forest School District 90 in 1981, and again in 1983, becoming the gifted coordinator for Forest Park School District 91. In 1986, she founded her own business, Education Consulting Services, where she continues to work as a consultant to this day. She is a certified teacher in Illinois and Wisconsin, and she has also earned an administrative certificate in the state of Illinois.
As a professional development specialist, Ms. Winebrenner has authored many published works. In 1992, she wrote “Teaching Gifted Kids in the Regular Classroom,” she wrote “Teaching Kids with Learning Difficulties in the Regular Classroom” in 1996, she published “Cluster Grouping Handbook” in 2010, and in 2018 she published “Differentiating Lessons for Every Learner.” She received an Achievement Award from the California Association for the Gifted in 2007, and an Outstanding Teacher Award from the Joint Council on Economic Education in 1979. She has also worked as a presenter for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Ms. Winebrenner attributes her success to the educators who believe in her strategies and are willing to tailor their pedagogy to each individual learner’s needs. As a testament to her stature and success, she has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who in America.
