Ellen M. Dr. Gaston is an award-winning professional who has reached national recognition for her background, which includes a dynamic blend of expertise areas including, online education, information technology, programming, strategic planning, risk management, and advanced technology research. She demonstrates leadership in the development of highly complex, high-risk challenges such as advanced technology research and development, strategic planning, organization transformation, data center renovation, nationwide information technology, and data integration efforts. Further, Dr. Gaston has a strong background with customer relationship management and management of virtual, collaborative, multi-cultural teams and recent experience with online survey design, cloud computing and predictive analytics using SPSS in a Windows environment. Today, she finds success in three concurrent roles as, a certified advanced facilitator for graduate and undergraduate faculty at the University of Phoenix, Faculty Assessment Liasion, and chief executive officer of Productivity Innovation, Inc. In her career, Dr. Gaston has held many prominent roles, including time as a program director for Information Systems Network Corporation, Senior Principal Systems Engineer in advanced programs for Harris Corporation, and engineer for the federal systems division of IBM. In addition, she spent many years working for the FBI as a computer programmer, lead computer programmer, productivity manager, and database manager.
In recognition of her professional excellence in her career, Dr. Gaston was the recipient of an Empowering Excellence Award from the University of Phoenix, a Performance Incentive Award from the University of Phoenix and a Marketing Award for International Business Results from the ISN Corporation. Further, she was featured in the Directory of Distinguished Leadership for Achievements in the Field of Systems Engineering and she was selected to be a part of the Prominent Training and Development Professionals for Development of a Comprehensive FBI Training Program for Computer Programmers, Analysis, Computer Scientists, and Project Managers. When asked about her success, Dr. Gaston says that she has accomplished all that she has by believing in herself, staying current in her field and taking risks. Her skill set and experience is supported by her education and certifications, which includes a DBA from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Science from American University, a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College and distinctions as a certified advanced facilitator, a certified advanced campus assessment liaison and a subject matter expert. Looking ahead, Dr. Gaston intends to continue working in her field while seeking new opportunities to share her expertise.
