Scan 2.jpegMs. Beatrice was influenced to become a teacher by her high school guidance counselor, who recognized her background with working with children at camps as being a great gateway to the field. Regarding the hypnosis part of Ms. Beatrice’s career, she had a sister-in-law that told her she was taking a self-hypnosis course in the high school where she lived and considered it to be a life-changing experience. Ms. Beatrice was working on a second master’s degree in teaching, but she thought maybe she should try hypnosis because the school district where she was teaching had an adult class a couple times a week in the evening on self-hypnosis. She signed up for it and grew really interested in it and did training to become a hypnotist.

Ms. Beatrice first earned a Bachelor of Science from West Chester University in 1953. She later earned a Master of Science from Marywood University in 1978, and continued with postgraduate coursework at Pennsylvania State University and Temple University. She was certified as a general hypnotherapist through the Philadelphia Hypnosis Union Institute in 1980 and a year later certified as a hypno-therapist by the National Board of Hypnotherapy and HypnoticScan 4 Anesthesiology. Since 1980, she has worked as a clinical hypnotherapist in NJ, and since 1999, in Florida. In addition, she has taught generations of students at the Souderton Area School District, the Spring Ford Area School District, the Worcester School District, The School District of Philadelphia, and Bristol Township School District.

Ms. Beatrice is most proud of her ability to work with young kids and help change their lives. Ms. Beatrice always had a good feeling working with kids. She always endeavored to go the extra mile and inspire them to produce shows and things of that sort that would really build up their confidence. It was good to see the progress that these little kids made. In addition to her work with her students, she co-authored books on tutoring; the Partners at Learning Series. Furthermore, she maintained professional affiliation with the Hypnosis Society of Pennsylvania, the National Association of Professional Therapists, the Hypnosis Education Association, the National Education Association and the American Association of University Women among many other groups.
