Geoffrey Hall, adjunct professor for Northampton Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education.
For nearly five decades, Mr. Hall has demonstrated a dynamic ability to meet with success in roles spanning many industries. He began his career with the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a staff sergeant in Vietnam for four years. Following an honorable discharge in 1970, he turned to the healthcare field, where he worked for Cigna Corporation in Boston, MA, for 30 years. Regarded for his professionalism, integrity and reliability, he shifted once more in his career to pursue education, a profession that he had always felt drawn to. Today, he demonstrates passion and conviction as an adjunct professor for Northampton Community College.
When asked of his professional success, Mr. Hall credits his hard work and the discipline instilled in him from the military. In addition, his own education has played an integral role in his accomplishments. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and a master’s degree from Marshall University. Following his achievement of his master’s degree, Mr. Hall has continued in his learning by taking more than 40 courses on a wide range of subjects. In short, he feels that the more knowledge he has the more he can impact his students and the world. He has taken classes on anthropology, sociology, psychology and more. As he looks ahead to the future, Mr. Hall intends to continue in his academic pursuits, which includes retiring from teaching but continuing to tutor.
