JeDon Emenhiser, Professor at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academia.
With 60 years of professional experience, Dr. Emenhiser has been a professor at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute since 2013. Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a professor at the Junior Statesman Summer School at Stanford University from 1989 to 2002 and in 2005, and chair of the social science research and instructional council at California State University from 1994 to 1995. Dr. Emenhiser’s area of expertise in political science is constitutional law.
From 1977 to 2009, Dr. Emenhiser was a professor at Humboldt State University, where he was also dean from 1977 to 1986 and acting vice president in 1984. He previously held a number of positions with Utah State University, including instructor and professor from 1960 to 1977 and acting dean from 1973 to 1974. Earlier in his career, he was an instructor at the University of Redlands from 1959 to 1960. Dr. Emenhiser began his career as a student at American University, where he completed coursework in 1954. He continued his studies with the University of Redlands, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1955. He then joined the University of Minnesota, earning a PhD in 1962. Dr. Emenhiser is certified as a community college administrator in the state of California. Dr. Emenhiser was inspired to go into his profession by his teachers.
