Title: Voice Educator
Location: McMurray, Pennsylvania, United States
Sandra Eames Greciano has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in vocal training and education.
A lifelong lover of music and the joy that it brings to others, Mrs. Greciano was inspired to enter her profession for one simple reason: she wanted to sing. As a young woman, she took voice lessons once per week from a bel canto style teacher, which meant he taught very classic styles from generations ago. “The old style emphasized phrasing, expression and vibrato,” Mrs. Greciano explains, adding that by learning these techniques and practicing them to perfection, she received a scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music. From there, Mrs. Greco attended Boston University, where she achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in opera theater in 1960. Regarded for his incredible work as a performer, it was Mrs. Greciano’s goal to become a voice educator and give others the tools for success the way she had received early in her career.
Mrs. Greciano is certified by the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), the American Guild of Variety Artists, and the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). She has taught as a voice coordinator and artist at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as the Uventis Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Today, she is involved in her industry through her memberships with the Pittsburgh Concert Society, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the Tuesday Musical Club, where she previously served as president and chairman/producer of its opera workshop. As she looks to the future, Mrs. Greciano intends to continue teaching and spreading her love of music.
