Mary Spore Alhadef, Retired Librarian at Redwood City Public Library, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in library sciences.

With more than 50 years of professional experience, Ms. Spore Alhadef retired in 2019, having been general reference, local history, and archives librarian at Redwood City Public Library since 2006, where she was previously audio-visual librarian since 1978. Prior to obtaining these roles, she was a reference librarian with Graduate Theological Union Library from 1976 to 1977 and a librarian with St. Patrick’s Seminary from 1973 to 1976. Earlier in her career, she was a librarian at Weston College School of Theology from 1968 to 1973 and Assistant to the Director of Libraries at Boston College from 1966 to 1968.

Ms. Spore Alhadef began her career as a student at Boston College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1965. She continued her studies with Peabody College, earning a Master of Library Science in 1966. She is a member of the American Theological Librarian Association. Throughout her career, Ms. Spore Alhadef has been recognized for her contributions. She has been featured in numerous honors publications including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
