Vicki Edwards, Student Teacher Supervisor at Arizona State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in reading and teaching education.
With more than 45 years of professional experience, Dr. Edwards has been a student teacher supervisor with Arizona State University since 2010. Prior to obtaining her current role, she held a number of positions with Deer Valley School District, including director of assessment from 2004 to 2010, and reading specialist and principal from 1980 to 2004. Earlier in her career, she was a teacher with Glendale Elementary School from 1977 to 1980 and with Arlington Public Schools from 1972 to 1976.
Dr. Edwards began her career as a student at Midland Lutheran College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in education in 1972. She then joined Arizona State University, completing a Master of Arts in education in 1979. She later continued her studies with Northern Arizona University, receiving a Master of Arts in education in 1986. Dr. Edwards earned a Doctor of Education in curriculum and instruction from Northern Arizona University in 1988. In her career, she has been recognized with a Mentor Award from Midland university, a Mountain Shadows PTSA Outstanding Educator Award, an Award of Achievement from the US West Communications and a Teacher of the Year Award from the Deer Valley School District.
