Ann Kelly, Retired Educator at Bishop DuBourg High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of middle school education.

Passionate about helping form the future of our country and our world, Ms. Kelly knew she would be a teacher. Her main goal has always been to help students grow and benefit, be good students and take of the Earth and themselves. In preparation for her career, she has earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Missouri, St. Lewis, in 1977 and holds lifetime certification to teach grades kindergarten through eight. Furthermore, Ms. Kelly has completed coursework with the University of Missouri at Columbia, the State University of New York at Brockport and Webster University. She has remained in her native Missouri, teaching fourth grade at St. Paul School and the Assumption School in O’Fallon. Ms. Kelly has also taught at St. Raphael the Archangel School, Our Lady of Sorrows School and Bishop DuBourg High School, where she taught from 2005 until her retirement.

In addition to her main pursuits, Ms. Kelly has been a local team leader for the Maury Project for Oceanographic Studies as a part of the American Meteorological Society/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration since 2000. She continues to present at Weather Workshops and helps prepare students for competitions in the Science Olympiad. Ms. Kelly holds membership with the National Science Teachers Association, the Science Teachers of Missouri and American Meteorological Society, among other organizations. She has received awards such as the Woodie Flower Finalist Award in 2015, the Eastern Missouri Volunteer of the Year Award in 2012 and the Shining Star Award from the St. Louis Science Center in 2002. Ms. Kelly plans to travel and become more involved in robotics as well as volunteer and Judge in science events. As a testament to her success, Ms. Kelly has been honored with the Distinguished Worldwide Humanitarian Award, the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
