Robert S. Riley, Writer and Publisher, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in writing and military service.

Mr. Riley, a versatile and talented figure in the fields of writing and military service, commenced his career as a student at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY, having previously attended a military high school in his formative years. Graduating from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science in engineering, he enlisted in the United States Army as a commissioned second lieutenant in 1952. During this time, he engaged in military campaigns in the Republic of Korea and South Vietnam. He advanced through the ranks to colonel until retiring from the title in 1958. Due to his exemplary service, he received a Decorated Bronze Star Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, an Air Medal, a Joint Service Commendation Medal, a Meritorious Service Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster and an Army Commendation Medal.

While in the military, Mr. Riley served as an engineer in the aerospace industry for five years with such corporations as Curtiss-Wright in Woodbridge, NJ, the Chrysler Missile Division in Warren, MI, and AirResearch Corporation in Phoenix, AZ. Thereafter, he received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in international affairs from Columbia University in 1974 and 1975, respectively.

Since 1978, Mr. Riley has been a writer and publisher in Lawton, OK. Writing historical non-fiction accounts of various families in Kentucky, he has penned seven books.  In recognition of his accomplishments, he received the Coat of Arms of Ireland and has maintained lifetime memberships with the Military Order of the World Wars and the Military Officers Association of America. Married to Matsuko Uechi since 1955, he has two children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys stamp collecting and photography.
