Sandra G. Nadelson, Assistant Professor at the University of Central Arkansas, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing education.
As a nurse and as an educator, Dr. Nadelson’s main focus is making sure people are cared for. As an educator, she centers on developing caring nurses, as well as nurses who are intuitive and communicative. As nurse, she specializes in pediatrics and research. While growing up she had never envisioned herself as a nurse, the path became illuminated through general interest and many mentors who believed in her and her abilities in helping others.
Dr. Nadelson became a registered nurse through the Oregon Health Science University in 1984. She earned an MSN from California State University and an MSEd in 1994 from Portland State University. In 2007, Dr. Nadelson received a PhD in educational leadership from the University of Nevada. One of her earliest teaching positions came in 2002, when she became a faculty member of the Community College of South Nevada. She has taught nursing students all over the country, including at the University of Nevada, Boise State University, Utah State University and Colorado Mesa University.
In addition to a passion for learning and helping others, Dr. Nadelson is a member of MENSA and has served in several roles for Sigma Theta Tau. She has contributed to numerous articles and professional journals and has been invited to lecture on multiple occasions. Looking toward the future, Dr. Nadelson endeavors to have continued professional growth.
