Elise L. Lev, RN, EdD, Professor Emeritus at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nursing education.

Drawing upon nearly 40 years of professional excellence in nursing education, Dr. Lev has been serving as a professor emeritus in the College of Nursing at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, having formerly served as a professor for several years. Prior to this illustrious role, she was an associate professor of pediatric and psychiatric nursing at the College of New Rochelle beginning in 1979. Alongside her primary endeavors, she has been an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College since 1973.

The author of more than 25 peer-reviewed articles in professional publications, Dr. Lev is renowned for her research in PI efficacy intervention to promote careers in research through the National Institutes of Health. Her research has since been implemented across the globe. Dr. Lev holds a Bachelor of Science from Adelphi University, and a Master of Arts, Master of Education and Doctor of Education from Columbia University. In addition, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in psychosocial oncology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Lev is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Council of Nurse Researchers and Sigma Theta Tau. As a testament to her profound success, she was named a Henry Rutgers Research Fellow through Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and to the Hall of Fame of Columbia University. A distinguished lecturer through Sigma Theta Tau, she received a grant from the National Institutes of Health in 2010. Notably, she has been highlighted in the seventh edition of Who’s Who in American Education, the 18th edition of Who’s Who in the World, the 25th edition of Who’s Who of American Women, and multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Nursing.
