Drawing upon nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Stanford is a prominent educator and academic administrator who has served Texas A&M University-Kingsville in several capacities since 1990. Commencing her career as a professor of business policy and strategic management and the president of the faculty senate, she also held the roles of graduate research advisor with the MBA/MPA program in the College of Business, assistant vice president of academy affairs, chair of the department of management and marketing in the College of Business, member of the graduate faculty, and interim dean and vice president of academic affairs, among other roles. During this time, she also briefly served as a management consultant for Strategic Management Solutions, Inc., for two years.

Dr. Stanford holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, a Master of Science in counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, and a Doctor of Philosophy in organization theory and strategic management from the University of North Texas. A workshop leader and international lecturer of strategic management in Argentina and Colombia, she was also the chair of the university assessment, budgeting and planning committee at Texas A&M University-Kingsville in the late 1990s.

A lifetime member of Kappa Delta Pi, Dr. Stanford has also maintained affiliation with the Society for Advancement of Management, the Academy of Management, the Institute of Management Consultants USA and the Strategic Management Society. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to education and business management, Dr. Stanford was named Leadership Corpus Christi Class of XXX in 2001 and 2002 and a fellow in leadership in the higher education program at Texas A&M University in 1997. Notably, she has been highlighted in the 31st edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and the sixth edition of Who’s Who in American Education, as well as several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
