Patricia Eletto Maury, Educator at Norwalk Public Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of education.
Passionate about teaching, Ms. Maury has dedicated her career to education. In preparation for her influential career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech and language pathology from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Maury has spent most of her career working in or around Connecticut, save for years she spent in the Virgin Islands, considering this time to be a career highlight.
Ms. Maury began her career as a speech pathologist with the Farmington Public Schools in Connecticut and her subsequent positons include, but are not limited to, teacher with the Julius E. Sprauve School in the Virgin Islands as well as the principal of Kendall Elementary School in Norwalk, Connecticut. Ms. Maury serves as a special education supervisor for Duval Public Schools and the Florida Principal Center Academy as well as an administrator for Norwalk Public Schools.
Ms. Maury has created a legacy of education and equal opportunity via her inception of the Firefly Educational Consortium, a non-profit organization that serves to assist schools and young people. Her excellence and dedication to teaching has earned her several awards such as the Outstanding School Award from the Connecticut Down Syndrome Congress in 1998 and the Pride in Norwalk Award from the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce in 1997, among others. In further recognition of her success, Ms. Maury has been lauded with The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in Who’s Who in America.
