Judith A. Schieble, Teacher Liaison for NASA at Spaceport Sheboygan, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in science education.
With more than three decades of professional experience, Ms. Schieble has retired from teaching and now works as a teacher liaison for Spaceport Sheboygan, a NASA-affiliated organization that caters to young students in the Wisconsin town. Serving in this position since 2003, she has always enjoyed guiding students and teaching them the fundamentals of science. Prior to this appointment, she was a science and physical education teacher in Wisconsin. Alongside her primary endeavors, she was also a coach of girls basketball and boys and girls swimming and diving. She also volunteers with the Rockets for Schools Program in her spare time.
To prepare for her illustrious career, Ms. Schieble pursued formal education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education and health in 1974. She subsequently attended Illinois State University, receiving a Master of Science in physical education in 1977. After gaining experience in the field, she transferred to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and earned a Bachelor of Science in broad field science in 1988. She also holds a Master of Science in curriculum instruction in science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Ms. Schieble has been certified in physical education for kindergarten through 12th grade and broad field science for ninth through 12th grade.
Attributing her success to taking diversified coursework, she intends on getting Spaceport Sheboygan back on track in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, crafts, walking, swimming, skiing and riding her bicycle.
