Patricia L. Pike, Ph.D., Associate Provost at Biola University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in psychology education and academic administration.

With 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Pike is a celebrated educator who has influenced the lives of psychology students through her illustrative teachings. Throughout her career, she has served Biola University in a number of capacities, including as an associate provost since 2013, a professor in the Rosemead School of Psychology since 2008, an interim provost from 2009 to 2010, a vice provost from 2008 to 2013, a dean of the Rosemead School of Psychology from 1994 to 2008, an associate professor from 1992 to 2008, and an assistant professor in the Rosemead School of Psychology from 1983 to 1992. Likewise, she has been a staff psychologist at Biola Counseling Center from 1986 to 2008 and a psychologist at Child Guidance Centers, Inc., from 1985 to 1986.

A frequent speaker in seminars on parenting, Dr. Pike is a licensed psychologist in the state of California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy in psychology from the University of Hawaii, and she completed postgraduate coursework at the California School of Professional Psychology. In addition, Dr. Pike has been a prolific editor, serving the Journal of Psychology and Theology between 1987 and 2003. She was also the co-author of “The Lost MK” in 2013 and has contributed myriad articles to professional journals.

Although Dr. Pike was a prominent professor, she enjoys administration more as she has been able to catch problems prior to them happening. She believes that she has been helpful to the administration as well as students in ways they never knew, especially with respect to helping professors do their jobs efficiently in a way which benefits students most. She helps design systems that foster each person with whom she works, which makes her job important, interesting, and worth coming to every day. Notably, Dr. Pike has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
