Frank L. Finale, Elementary School Educator and Writer at Jersey Shore Publications, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education, writing and literature.

Mr. Finale always had an affinity for expressing in words his feelings and experiences that were unique to him. Interested in the sound and meaning of words, he earned a Bachelor of Education from Ohio State University in 1964 and a Master of Arts in human development from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1976. He commenced his career as a teacher at Toms River Regional School in New Jersey from 1964 until his retirement from the education industry in 2002. In addition, since 1996, he has been a writer of Jersey Shore Publications. Likewise, he has also been a presenter at the Young Authors Conference since 1985.

A prolific author of numerous poems and essays, Mr. Finale was the founder and editor-in-chief of Without Halos magazine and poetry editor of the new renaissance (1996-2012). The editor of multiple works regarding the shoreline of New Jersey, he has authored numerous more books and poems, including “To the Shore Once More, Volumes I – III” “A Gull’s Story, Parts 1 – 3” and co-edited two anthologies “Under a Gull’s Wing” and “The Poets of New Jersey.” He has maintained affiliation with the National Education Association, the Academy of American Poets and the New Jersey Education Association. In addition, he was a founding member of Ocean County Poets Collective.

In recognition of his exceptional achievements in education, Mr. Finale was named Teacher of the Year in 2002, having previously won the Exemplary Service Award from the International Literary Association and Ocean County Reading Council in 1993. Furthermore, he was a nominee of the Pushcart Press Prize and received the President’s Scholarship Award from Ohio State University in 1963. Notably, Mr. Finale has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World.
