Deovina Jordan, Professor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pediatric nursing.

Dr. Jordan has been working in health care for more than three decades and was inspired by her family’s involvement in the field. Since 2012, Dr. Jordan has been an Academic/ Education Consultant for Thomas Edison State University. She has also been an Associate Professor for California State University and West Coast University. Dr. Jordan co-founded and is serving as the President of Deja Jord, Inc., President of Fil-Am Associates, and Vice President of Jordan Research Institute. She gained experience in the field of pediatric nursing from Mattel Children’s Hospital, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopedic Institute.

Dr. Jordan first pursued the field while living in the Philippines, completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Perpetual Help in 1980. She continued her graduate studies, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1985. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Jordan received a Master of Public Health degree from Loma Linda University in 2001, and earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degree from University of California Los Angeles in 2004 and 2008, respectively.

Dr. Jordan was the President of Alpha Tau Delta Gamma Pi Chapter, UCLA School of Nursing from 2005-2006 and Vice President from 2004-2005. She was a member of the following organizations: National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Association of California Nurse Leaders. Dr. Jordan has maintained professional affiliation with California Nurses Association and a number of other organizations.

In 2001, Dr. Jordan was recognized with the Outstanding Professional Woman Award from the American Biographical Institute. She is recognized in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare. On January 29, 2018, Dr. Jordan was a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted in the Who’s Who Worldwide Lifetime Achievement.
