Dr. Carol-Lynne Moore, Owner at Movescapes, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Performing Arts Education.

Having spent over 40 years in movement analysis and the performing arts, Dr. Carol Lynne Moore is a respected authority in her field. She is the owner of Movescapes, a learning center dedicated to the understanding of human movement that provides education and consultative services. Dr. Moore has also been an adjunct faculty member at the Graduate Laban Certification Movement Analysis Program at Columbia College since 2001. Laban movement analysis is what inspires her work at Movescapes, and has always been a focal point of her career since it began in 1976, and since then she has taught movement analysis in professional and academic programs in the U.S., England, Germany, the Netherlands, and Korea.

Dr. Moore began her own education at Southern Methodist University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance in 1973. She continued her education at Arizona State University, where she received a Master of Counseling in 1984, and finally she completed a PhD in Dance Studies at the University of Surrey in 1999. She has been a widely published author throughout her career, having written such works as “Meaning in Motion: Introducing Laban Movement Analysis,” and “The Harmonic Structure of Movement, Music and Dance According to Rudolf Laban: An Examination of his Unpublished Writings and Drawings.” For her invaluable contributions in the field, Dr. Moore received the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies Lifetime Achievement Award.
