Mohindar Seehra, PhD, Eberly Distinguished Professor Emeritus of West Virginia University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in physics.
With nearly 60 years of professional experience, Dr. Seehra has been recognized as the Eberly Distinguished Professor Emeritus of West Virginia University since 2016. Prior to his retirement, he served the school as a research professor from 2008 to 2016, as a physics professor from 1977 to 1977, Eberly Distinguished Professor from 1992 to 2008, associate professor from 1973 to 1977, and assistant professor from 1969 to 1973. Earlier in his career, he was a physics lecturer at Agurchand Manmull Jain College from 1962 to 1963, and a chemistry instructor at the Arya College of Engineering and IT from 1959 to 1960.
Dr. Seehra began his career as a student at Panjab University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in 1959. He continued his studies at Aligarh Muslim University, completing a Master of Science in 1962. Relocating to the United States, Dr. Seehra earned a PhD at the University of Rochester in 1969. He credits his success to hard work, the right attitude, and helping others along the way.
