With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Kennedy has been a piano teacher with Piano Power since 2002, and a piano pedagogue with the Michigan Music Center since 2005. Prior to obtaining her current roles, she was a piano teacher with Maxwell Music from 2005 to 2005, having previously been an independent piano teacher. Earlier in her career, Ms. Kennedy parlayed her experience as an instructor at St. Clair College. According to the National Association of Music Merchants, music education helps facilitate learning in other subjects and contributes to skills enhancement. It is one of many reasons why Ms. Kennedy has remained a dedicated music education professional.
Ms. Kennedy began her career as a student at the Trinity College of Music from 1975 to 1980. She obtained a CIDESCO Diploma from the Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography in 1984, later completed coursework at the University of South Africa from 1985 to 1988. Ms. Kennedy is a member of the American College of Musicians, and the National Guild of Piano Teachers, for whom she was named to the Hall of Fame.
