Carol Turkus-Workman, retired educational technician and educator with the Centralia School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in educational development.

With 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Turkus-Workman retired in 2010, having been an educator with the Centralia School District since 1970, also serving as an educational technician since 1986. In addition to her work in the field, she was affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including as a member of the American Association of University Women, Computer Using Educators, the Order of the Arrow, and Kappa Delta Pi.

Inspired to enter the field by her teacher, Sister Angela, Ms. Turkus-Workman began her career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in history from California State University, Long Beach in 1969. In 1980, the Centralia School District gave her a special certificate in classroom management. She later earned a Master of Arts in administration manager from the University of La Verne in 1997. Ms. Turkus-Workman is certified in cross-cultural language and academy development, and she holds a certified administrative credential.
