Gail Ross-Ristow, Art Educator at Tri-City Cancer Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in art education.
A quilting teacher at the Tri-City Cancer Center since 2002, Ms. Ross-Ristow has more than 45 years of professional excellence in her areas of expertise. Prior to this position, she served as an art teacher in Aiken, SC, from 1989 to 1996 and president and owner of Handmade with Love in Bay City, TX, from 1984 to 1988. Earlier in her career, she held the roles of teacher and instructor with the Cartwright School District, Mount Carmel High School, and California State Polytechnic University.
Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. Ross-Ristow served as a teacher in community education in Palacios and Bay City, TX, from 1986 to 1988, as well as a volunteer teacher in various elementary schools in the Republic of Korea, which she considers to be among the highlights of her career. Notably, she acted as a member of the South Carolina Foster Care Review Board from 1991 to 1996.
A leading voice in her fields of interest, Ms. Ross-Ristow maintains affiliation with several organizations, including the American Association of University Women, the American Chemical Society, the National Society of Decorative Painters, the Tri-City Cancer Guild, and the Tri-City Quilt Guild. A certified teacher in the state of California, she holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from California State Polytechnic University and a Master of Education from Arizona State University.
