Prior to his current appointment, he was a lecturer at the University of California, Riverside, from 2008 to 2009, an associate dean at Chapman University from 2004 to 2005, and a professor at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman from 1994 to 1996. He also held a number of roles with such academic institutions as Pepperdine University, Saginaw Valley State University, New York University, Oakland University, the University of Windsor, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Dr. Foote pursued a formal education and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in 1967. He followed this accomplishment with a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1971, as well as additional postgraduate coursework at Harvard University and the New England School of Law until 1972. After obtaining some hands-on experience in the field, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Michigan State University in 1983.
In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, Dr. Foote has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. He earned an Outstanding Faculty Recognition from California State University, Fullerton, in 2000, and he was named an Outstanding Faculty Finalist by the School of Business Administration and Economics Executive Council at California State University, Fullerton, in 1999. In addition, he was elected a Doctoral Consortium Fellow by Haskins and Sells in 1977 and a Loomis-Sayles Fellow by Harvard University from 1969 to 1971. Notably, he was selected for inclusion into several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
